Are we allowed to tour the venue before we book and during our event planning?

Once you have signed your contract, we allow two more free planning tours. If you need more than two planning tours, each additional tour will have a $25 fee associated with it.
Are there any services or amenities not included in my rental that I can add on?
While we aim to provide exceptional value with your initial venue rental, in an effort to increase affordability for all our clients, we do have a few amenities and services with associated fees that we offer as optional event add-ons. These include:
-
Access to the Third Floor Suites and Patio space for an additional $50/hour.
-
Set-Up & Tear-Down Services for a one-time fee of $150. Our team will collaborate with you to create your desired floorplan and will have your event set for you before you arrive and will take care of tearing down and clearing up after you leave.
Is there on-site parking? Will guests have to pay to park?
Edison Square has ample options for free parking available. There is limited street parking in the front of the venue on South Tacoma Way and there is a free parking lot located directly behind the venue off of South Puget Sound Avenue. Parking spaces from the flower pot dividers over to the green building are available on a first come first serve basis.
Can we drop things off or do any setup the day/night before?
This is decided on a case-by-case basis and must be discussed with Edison Square Event staff. In general, if the week is fully booked, this will not be available.
What are the client’s cleaning responsibilities?
Please leave the venue in the same condition as when you entered it, including breaking down and returning any used venue equipment, removing food/beverage, decor, or other items you brought, and taking out the garbages to the dumpster. We have a cleaning crew who will sweep, mop, and clean restrooms. If the space is left excessively dirty and our crew has to do anything outside of those tasks, the client will be responsible for a cleaning fee, starting at $250.
Will I have extra time for setting up, breaking down, or loading out?
Your contracted venue rental period includes all of the time you will have to access the venue for the set-up and tear-down of your event. This includes the load-in and load-out of all guests and vendors. Cleanup is to be completed before your venue rental time expires. If the client is not out at the contracted end-time, additional time will be charged at $400 per hour.
If you would prefer to have our team take care of your set-up and tear-down for you, you can add our Set-Up & Tear Down Service to your rental for a one-time cost of $150.
Will there be an event staff member there to help with my event?
Yes, there will be at least one Edison Square Event staff member working the event. During the event, the event attendant is happy to help with any venue-related needs that may come up: answering questions, locating equipment, AV troubleshooting, etc.
Please keep in mind that while we are here to help your event run as smoothly as possible and we do our best to go above and beyond, our staff are not dedicated day-of event coordinators, vendor coordinators, A/V technicians, etc. These roles will need to be provided by your party.

Edison Square is home to Edison Kitchen, a full-time commercial commissary kitchen. As that space is dedicated to our commissary tenants, we do not allow any event cooking or food prep to be done in our kitchen. We can offer access to a sink, ice machine, and a below-counter two-door beverage fridge. Prep tables may be able to be arranged upon request. Hot plates or chafing dishes must be brought in by caterers/clients to keep food warm.
